The short definition
NCII means non-consensual intimate imagery: a nude, partly nude, or sexual photo or video of a person used without consent — including many AI deepfakes of a real adult. An NCII report is how you tell someone with power over a copy: this is that kind of abuse, here is where it is, please act.
You usually file more than one. The in-app button, a hash tool, an AntiNCII case, and (when it fits) police are different doors. None of them promises that every copy will disappear.
What to send — and what not to
Useful reports include URLs, usernames, dates, and a short account of what happened. Keep screenshots of threats. Do not reshare the intimate file to prove it. AntiNCII never wants the pixels: the browser makes a fingerprint on your device (PDQ for photos, MD5 for videos).
Kinds of NCII reports
- In-app platform reports. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Reddit, Telegram, and others have “intimate image,” “nudity,” or privacy forms. Use them on every public copy you can find. Links: Resources and Providers.
- Hash reports. A fingerprint of a known file so a participating company can try to block matching uploads later. StopNCII.org does this with industry partners. AntiNCII is independent and also fingerprints locally. That is not the same as scanning encrypted chats.
- AntiNCII case reports. You open a case; we can file reports to services you name and give you instructions. Status updates are not a takedown certificate. How will AntiNCII work?
- Police and child-safety reports. Local police for crimes against you. If a minor is in the media, use NCMEC, IWF, or your national hotline — not this site.
What a report cannot do
- It cannot guarantee removal, including after a site is seized
- It cannot see inside most locked DMs
- It cannot wipe Google Images by itself
- It cannot recover a lost case number or password
Classifiers that score “sexual” content are another tool again: Undesired content detection. They are not a report you file about you.
If this just happened
Do not pay. Do not send more images. Report the account in-app. Then, if you are 18+ and still have the file, create a case. First-day steps: New victims: Please read first.
