What StopNCII.org is
StopNCII.org is a hash-matching tool for adults, operated by the Revenge Porn Helpline, part of SWGfL. You hash intimate images so participating companies can try to stop matching uploads. The design is that the original file is not uploaded to them.
What it does well
- Clear adult-NCII focus, separate from child-abuse hash lists
- Hash-based, so you are not meant to send the photo to the tool
- Useful where a large platform has joined as a partner
- Sits next to a UK specialist helpline for people those staff can support
Limits
Partner list, not every site
Matching only works where a company takes part and actually checks the hashes. Forums, hosts, and apps outside that list are not covered by that workflow.
Not a guaranteed takedown
Hashes do not wipe search results, encrypted chats, or copies that never match. In-app reports still matter. Same limit applies to AntiNCII.
