Questions
FAQ
Do you store my photo or video?
No. The browser creates a PDQ fingerprint for photos or an MD5 fingerprint for videos on your device. Only that fingerprint plus basic file metadata (size, type, a generic label) are sent. The photo or video never leaves this device.
Who can open a case?
The adult who appears in the intimate media. We do not take cases for people under 18, and we do not take third-party cases about someone else’s intimate images.
Will this remove the content from the internet?
Not automatically. Fingerprints can be shared with participating platforms so they can block matching uploads. You should still use each platform’s report tools. Removal is never guaranteed.
I lost my case number or password.
Neither can be recovered. If you added an email, we may have sent the case number only, and that address is deleted after about three days. We never email the password.
How do I check status or withdraw a case?
Use the case number and password on the status page. Updates usually appear within 3 to 5 days. Withdraw deletes the case and the fingerprints we hold. There is no password reset.
Do you use PhotoDNA?
No. PhotoDNA is Microsoft’s licensed technology and is not bundled here. Photos are fingerprinted with PDQ, Meta’s open perceptual hash. Videos are fingerprinted with MD5.
Is this StopNCII?
No. AntiNCII is independent. StopNCII.org is operated by the Revenge Porn Helpline (SWGfL) and works with industry partners. We file direct reports to the services where your rights are violated and give full instructions for each case. You may use both. See StopNCII alternative.
